Beyonce

Beyonce

The reigning Queen Bey of pop

Well (sighs), are there any other bootylicious mamas out there who can come close to her talents? A phenomenal singer, record producer, dancer, choreographer, video director, actress and model who’s also really nice when you get to know her.

Being one third of the hugely successful, best-selling feisty female groups of all time (that’s Destiny’s Child, in case you were wondering) wasn’t good enough for our beautiful Miss Bey. Slick pop songs such as Independent Women and Survivor may have won them Grammys galore, but going solo brought even more rewards.

Dangerously In Love became one of the most successful albums of 2003 and spawned number one singles Crazy In Love and Baby Boy, earning her five Grammy Awards on a single night in 2004. This established her among the most successful female artists in the United States ever. Easy. Anything else?

‘Fraid so. Er, more hit singles with her second, third and fourth album releases, Golden Globe nominations (for her singing and acting), charity championing, marriage to rapster Jay-Z, CEO of her own company... This lady has it all!

She was even the first female R&B star to headline the Pyramid stage at Glasto. Can she get any better? Yes she can.

Announcing her pregnancy just by rubbing her baby bump at an awards ceremony - no tacky magazine deal for Ms. Knowles - Beyonce popped the music videos out for her fourth album thick and fast.

On 7 January 2012 Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl. With Jay-Z and Beyonce as parents, surely Blue Ivy Carter is the luckiest kid around?

Beyonce was back bigger than ever after giving birth in 2012. She not only launched her brand new website, she released another single End Of Time.

2013 saw a Grammy win, a brand new self-titled album, a full-length documentary film, Life Is But A Dream and the first half of her massive The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. Bey certainly hadn't let motherhood slow her down.

In 2014, the power couple that is Beyonce and Jay-Z hit the road together on their hugely successful On The Run Tour. Bey also won a further shelf full of awards and became the most awarded artist in BET Awards history.

Her 2013 fifth studio album, Beyonce, produced the massive single, Drunk In Love, for which she teamed up with hubbie Jay-Z again and other releases including Pretty Hurts and Flawless (ft. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie/Nicki Minaj).

Bey has also found the time to relight that Destiny's Child magic on Michelle Williams' single Say Yes (featuring Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland).

Beyonce is one busy and successful lady and despite having over 13 million Twitter followers, she's only ever sent a handful of tweets. This is testament to how much of a mega superstar Bey is. And her light will be shining for a very long time to come...
