We all have our favourites, whether it's country, rock, pop or R&B that knocks your socks off, the results are in on the top selling singles and albums of 2009.

The enigmatic Lady Gaga reigns supreme with her mega-hit Poker Face topping the list as the number one selling single of last year. And if that doesn't satisfy the singer, she can revel in the fact that two other Gaga hits are in the top 20 - Just Dance and Bad Romance. Her multi-award winning album, The Fame, was just pipped to the number one spot by Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle.

The Black Eyed Peas have also got plenty to celebrate with three hits in the top 10 best selling singles (I Gotta Feeling at number two), and The End featuring just behind Michael Buble's Crazy Love at number four in the best selling albums chart.

With the charts featuring such varied acts as Kings of Leon, La Roux and Cheryl Cole, it just shows how diverse our music taste is here in the UK.
