We love Leona here at 4Music and think she's easily got one of the best voices in pop today. So, as you'd expect, we were very excited to listen to her hugely anticipated second album, Echo. But is it as good as her debut? We gave it a spin to find out...
1. Happy
You've heard this one by now, surely? A classic Leona vocal backed by producer Ryan Tedder's trademark beats.
2. I Got You
Another ballad, but more of a low-key affair than Happy. I Got You's about loving that special person in your life 'for better or worse'. Aww...
3. Can't Breathe
Co-produced by the man behind Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown's hit duet, No Air, Can't Breathe sees Leona show off what a fine pair of lungs she has! How does she sing that high?
4. Brave
'You've got to fight for love like a soldier' sings Leona on this epic ballad about taking risks in a relationship. Definitely a highlight.
5. Outta My Head
Wow, this one's a bit of a shocker! While the words 'electro dance romp' aren't words you'd normally associate with the lovely Ms. Lewis, Outta My Head is just that. One word - amazing!
6. My Hands
Written by the lady who's been dubbed 'the sixth Saturday', Ina Wroldsen, this song admittedly wouldn't sound out of place on one of the successful girl group's albums.
7. Love Letter
Produced by Kevin Rudolf, of Let It Rock fame, Love Letter sees Leona up the tempo a little. While she's best known for her ballads, we definitely like this side to her a lot!
8. Broken
This one's a bit of a tear-jerker. 'You can't fix me, I'm torn apart' sings an emotional Leona. Blub!
9. Naked
While its title might suggest otherwise, Leona hasn't gone all saucy on us. It's actually a rather sweet number on which Leona confesses that she feels 'naked' without her man around her.
10. Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Leona takes on the Oasis classic and, to quote an infamous X Factor phrase, 'makes it her own'. Simon will be pleased!
11. Don't Let Me Down
Featuring guest vocals from none other than JT, Don't Let Me Down has been getting fans excited about this album for the past couple of months after it popped up online. Quite rightly too - this song's genius!
12. Alive
Alive proves that Leona would have been alright on rock week on this year's X Factor! Ok, so it's not exactly Green Day but it's got a real anthemic feel to it.
13. Lost Then Found
As well as producing Leona's lead single, Happy, Ryan Tedder's band OneRepublic also make a guest appearance on the album's final track. We think you'll agree, their voices work very well together.
All in all, Leona's done herself proud with this album and we can't wait to see her perform songs from it live when she hits the road for her first ever UK tour in May 2010.
Echo is released on November 16th on Syco Records.
