Sexy, stroppy, seriously talented and sometimes sweet this top pop trio may be babes, but dont bother trying to get close. They will eat you alive.
The Babes started out way back in 1998 (hang on, isnt that, like, last century?) when close friends Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena met Siobhan Donaghy at a party.
Following the felling of Siobhan, and a while later, Mutya, this bunch of classy pop lasses have gone through more band shake-ups than a James Bond Martini and with the departure of last surviving member Keisha, the transformation of the Sugababes is now complete.
That hasnt stopped newcomers Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah from playing their part in the group's more recent morsels of perfectly-formed pop. But how will the girls get on without their founder members? And will latest addition, former Eurovision contestant Jade Ewen, be a good fit?
Who knows what lies ahead but there's a definitely a tough act to follow. With 16 of their 23 single releases so far achieving top ten chart success, album sales in excess of five million and seven BRIT award nominations, the Sugababes have been named the UK's most successful female act of the 21st century so far.
Babes past, present and future, we bow down to your immense pop powers.
