Grammy award winner Alicia Augello-Cook aka Alicia Keys began her musical journey by taking piano lessons at the tender age of seven. Leaving her Performing Arts School early with A grades and bags full of musical talent, the soulful singer secured her first record deal in 1998.
The highly accomplished Alicia wrote, produced and sang on her debut album, Songs In A Minor, which became a worldwide hit in 2001.
Since then Alicia has released three studio albums, become an actress, married rapper Swizz Beatz and given birth to their son, Egypt. If she wasn't busy enough, Alicia also is also a well-known philanthropist and campaigner for various charitable organisations including Keep A Child Alive.
Now she's back with her new album, Girl On Fire. On the title track she teams up with the female rapper of the moment, Nicki Minaj, to lead her comeback campaign.
With over 10 years at the top of her game, Alicia is not only looked up to and revered by her peers, but she's also proved she has the talent and longevity to thrill crowds for years to come.
