'Style' trumps comfort for Jessie J at The 54th Grammy Awards

The 55th Grammy Awards premiere exclusively on 4Music in the UK on Monday 11 February 2013 at 10pm. 

Alicia Keys was joined by Bonnie Raitt to sing A Sunday Kind of Love as a tribute to the late jazz singer Etta James, who died last month.

Amy Winehouse received a posthumous award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her duet with Tony Bennett, Body And Soul.

Amy's grieving parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, picked up the award for their late daughter.

Cee Lo Green won two Grammys for his song Fool For You, he went home with Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Song gongs.

Chris Brown made his Grammy comeback with a performance of Turn Up the Music and Beautiful People.

He then went on to win the Best R&B Album Grammy for F.A.M.E.

Coldplay joined Rihanna on stage to sing their collaboration Princess of China, then went on to perform Paradise.

Doing it for the Brits was soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae, who scooped Best R&B Performance for her song Is This Love.

On the rock front, the Foo Fighters ruled as the band picked up four out of the six trophies they were nominated for.

After the sad news of Whitney Houston's passing, Jennifer Hudson paid a moving tribute to the singer with a flawless and emotional performance of I Will Always Love You.

King of rap was Kanye West. He won four awards for Best Rap Performance for his duet with Jay-Z, Otis. Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song for his collaboration with Rihanna, All Of The Lights and Best Rap Album for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Unfortunately, he wasn't there to pick up any of his awards.

Katy Perry had a treat for the Grammy audience as she premiered her new single Part Of Me sporting a metallic outfit and her new electric blue hair. She also performed E.T. 

Kelly Clarkson teamed up on stage with Jason Aldean to sing Don't You Wanna Stay.

One of the collaborations of the night was Maroon 5, Foster the People and the legendary Beach Boys. 

Maroon 5 sang Surfer Girl, followed by Foster the People singing Wouldn't It Be Nice. Finally the Beach Boys sang their classic Good Vibrations and all three bands hit the stage for the finale of this.

She may not have won an award this year, but Nicki Minaj made up for it with her creative and hair-raising (or rather body-raising!) performance.

Rihanna shared her two Grammys with Kanye West for their collaboration, All Of The Lights.

The newly blonde star, kicked off her performance with a high-energy rendition of We Found Love sporting leather shorts and raving with her dancers. She was then joined on stage by Chris Martin and Coldplay for a more sedate performance of their duet Princess of China.

Taylor Swift proved she was the Queen of Country by winning two awards for Country Solo Performance and Country Song for Mean.

The singer also performed Mean at the ceremony.

Bruno Mars paid tribute to Whitney Houston during his performance of Runaway Baby.

The tragic passing of superstar singer Whitney Houston led to the 2012 Grammys being tinged with sadness.
