Feisty popstar Pink lands herself at number 47 on our

First up and in at 50, it’s trouble-making twins John and
Edward, aka Jedward! While these two might be seen as a ‘novelty act’, the boys are the ones
laughing as their regular gigs and guest appearances across the UK, their
television stints, including their own show on CBBC, and the media buzz
surrounding them, makes them a duo that’s very much in demand. Louis Walsh must
be so proud!
Following her stint as a judge on last year’s X Factor,

record sales. Hard-working Harris has also kept himself busy by touring the UK;
playing gigs everywhere from Liverpool to London.
Christina Aguilera might have not released any solo
material recently but that hasn’t stopped her from claiming a spot in our top
fifty. Christina can thank the massive success of her hook-up with Maroon 5 on global
smash Moves Like Jagger, her position as a judge on US talent show The
Voice and her impressive net worth for landing her at number 44.
Up next it’s showbiz blogger Perez Hilton, who made his
name through his internationally successful celebrity gossip website, which he
established in 2001. Fast forward to the present day and Perez is now thought

Since leaving Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland has carved

America’s original Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson is up next at 41
thanks to some very high profile performances at this year’s Grammy Awards and

In next at 40 it’s hat-loving Hawaiian Bruno Mars who,

Girl groups are few and far between at the moment but

In at 37 it’s Cuban-American rapper Pitbull, who’s
endless hook-up's with music’s hottest acts including J-Lo and Chris Brown, has
seen his record sales go through the roof and helped him retain a strong and
consistent presence in the music world. His increasingly large UK fan base has
also helped him stake a claim in our top fifty.
Ne-Yo might not have released much in the way of music
over here in the UK lately but that hasn’t stopped the cool crooner from
staking a claim in our Pop Powerlist; he comes in at number 36 thanks to his
clothing range, record label and numerous film roles.
In at 35 it’s Simon Cowell’s only non-talent show signing
Labrinth. Following a string of top three smashes, he is one of music’s most
exciting new acts. Add to that his writing credits for other artists including
Pixie Lott, Professor Green and Loick Essien and it won’t be long before this
London lad is giving Mr Cowell a run for his money in the music mogul stakes!
Music newcomer Emeli Sandé has already made quite the
impression on the music scene, having been honoured with the Critic's Choice
award at this year’s Brits, as well as storming the UK charts as a solo artist and alongside pal, Professor Green. She
makes number 34 in our list of pop’s most powerful.
Grammy winning rapper-extraordinaire Kanye West is up
next at 33. And while he’s been fairly
quiet on the music front, Kanye’s foray into fashion has kept his name on the
music map; with his ranking also helped along somewhat by his huge net worth,
which is rumoured to be around £50,000,000!
He discovered teen sensation Justin Bieber, which should by
itself make Usher one of pop’s most powerful players, but the Texan singer
actually comes in at number 32 on our list thanks to his large net worth and
consistently high record sales.
In our Pop Powerlist next it’s popstar Tinchy Stryder,
whose endorsements in cars and clothes, as well as his jam-packed promotional schedule
sees him stake a prominent place in our top fifty. He’s in at number 31.
This party loving pair shuffled their way into the
charts, and our hearts, in 2011 and have since ruled the top forty with their
infectious fun-filled ditties. Add to that a Super Bowl performance hook-up
with Madonna which was watched by over 100 million viewers and the sky is the
limit for, ahem, SkyBlu and RedFoo. They’re in at number 30.

ears, it’s no wonder the Black Eyed Peas frontman and solo sensation will.i.am has
staked a claim in our Pop Powerlist, coming in at a very respectable number 29.

Claiming the number 28 spot it’s English indie band
Florence & The Machine; whose spine-tingling Brit Awards performance and
numerous appearances across TV and radio this year have seen their prominence
in the media, and charts, rise to exciting levels.
Up next it’s P Diddy, or is it Puff Daddy? Or just
Diddy?! Quite frankly we don’t know anymore, but what we do know is that this
American musician slash business tycoon is worth an estimated £303,000,000. He's got money rolling in from his own clothing line, record label, film
production company, two restaurants
and personalised line of Vodka! Yes, really!
In at 26 it’s media mogul Simon Cowell. With an estimated
net value of over £200,000,000 (one hundred and thirty-six of which he’s
rumoured to have taken home in the last three years alone), you might be wondering why our Si isn’t higher up on the list? Well sadly for Simon, with the exception of Labrinth, none of his superstar
Syco signings like Leona Lewis are currently touring or releasing material. If
they were, this might have been a very different story…
Stephen Manderson, aka Professor Green, might be
relatively new to the music scene, but that hasn’t stopped the Brit rapper from
making his mark on our list of pop’s most powerful. He claims the number 25
spot due to high record sales, a growing fan base and steady media

She went from humble beginnings in ‘the block’ to international
superstar status. Jennifer Lopez’s twelve years in pop have paid off as her

Boy bands are proving big business in 2012 and formidable

In at 19 it’s arguably the most iconic figure in pop, ever! Yes, it’s the teapot-tastic Ms.
Lady Gaga. And with over twenty one million followers on twitter, nearly fifty
million Facebook fans and a level of media interest second to no other popstar
out there, it’s little surprise to find Gaga in our top twenty of pop’s most
powerful. Mother Monster, we salute you.
One place ahead of Lady Gaga (and that’s no easy feat)
is British rapper Tinie Tempah, who has earned his spot at number 18 through
his successful clothing line, impressive record sales and ever-growing social
media fanbase. With all that going on, landing in the top twenty of our Pop
Powerlist was clearly Written In The Stars for Tinie!

Next up in our Pop Powerlist it’s colourful Californian Katy Perry who, with awards fighting for space on her mantelpiece, record sales through the roof, endorsements galore and media buzz surrounding her recent divorce from funny-man Russell Brand at an all-time high, finds herself at number 17 on our list.
In at 16 it’s Radio 1 presenter, Reggie Yates, who is the
only non-popstar figure to feature in our top twenty – even beating off
competition from music messiah, Simon Cowell (blimey). Reggie can thank his
Saturday and Sunday radio slots, massive fan base of listeners and associated
personal appearances for his high ranking.
Laying claim to a spot in our top 15 it’s American rapper

Cheeky Essex chap Olly Murs is up next. He claims the number 12 spot due to his gruelling promotional schedule which has seen him popping up on radio stations and TV channels across the country. His hard work has paid off though as his fanbase continues to grow and social media interest in him remains high. Nice one Olly!
Next up it’s Jack The Lad Swing-ers, JLS who are the 11th

In at 7 it’s gorgeous Geordie Cheryl Cole who, despite

and continued popularity with fans! What a woman!
The girls are dominating our top 10 of pop’s most
powerful as Jessie J claims second place in our list thanks to her relentless
promotional tour, handful of endorsements and high record sales and media
plays. No need to Do It Like A Dude Jessie, being yourself is proving very
lucrative indeed!
In at number one and top of our Pop Powerlist it’s the
unstoppable Adele! Having taken home six Grammys and two Brits in February this
year, Adele has ruled the music charts with her second album, 21, even returning
to the number one spot with it a whole YEAR after the original release date! And with her fan
base growing in increasing numbers, there really is no stopping this
Tottenham-born beauty!
