This week at the movies: Avengers Assemble, Marley, Gone, & Salmon Fishing in the Yemen
Avengers Assemble - the most anticipated film of the summer, as decided by a Fandango public survey - finally hits the cinemas this week, opening in the UK on Thursday 26 April.
Joss Whedon scared the pants off us last week with his genre-spinning horror film Cabin in the Woods, and now he's back in the director's seat for Avengers, one of the wildest rides at the movies we've seen in ages.
Stars of the new Marvel film - which features the biggest and best Marvel characters ever, including The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Ironman and Black Widow - graced the London red carpet on Thursday night for the European premiere. Check out our red carpet gallery.
Let's take a closer look at all this week's new releases...
Avengers Assemble
You'll laugh, you'll scream, you'll squeal with delight. You may even find yourself thinking 'this is the best film I've seen this year' - and you might be right! Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel) has nailed it once again with a star-studded roller-coaster ride that is, for lack of a a better word, awesome.

Marley
Bob Marley has influenced most of the musicians and music we love today. Just this week, Rihanna performed his classic tune Redemption Songs at a charity gig. This documentary digs into the heart of the character that transformed the music world - and the world in general - with his reggae beats and inspirational message of peace, love and Rastafarianism.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen
It's name may be as unappealing as, say, fly fishing in the hot Arabian desert would actually be, but if you're looking for a heartwarming, multicultural please-all this weekend, this may be your cup of lukewarm tea. The film stars Ewan McGregor as a British fisherman who helps a Sheikh bring fly-fishing to the desert. Well, why not!
