Skyfall, The Hobbit and Avengers Assemble lead the nominations

Skyfall leads the pack with six nominations for the 2013 Empire Film Awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Sam Mendes. 

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Avengers Assemble follow with five nominations each, while British indie flick Sightseers nabbed four.
