Kimberley Walsh will take over from Amanda Holden in Shrek The Musical.
The Girls Aloud singer will join the cast two months earlier than planned after Amanda Holden announced this week that she's pregnant. Kimberley will play the role of Princess Fiona in the hit musical from October, joining current cast members Nigel Lindsay, Richard Blackwood and Nigel Harman onstage at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
The Shrek The Musical website announced: "There's a new princess in the swamp!
"Girls Aloud star KIMBERLEY WALSH! Kimberley is taking over the role earlier than planned as Amanda Holden announced today she is expecting a little bundle of joy! Kimberley will take over the role of Princess Fiona from Wednesday 5 October 2011, two months earlier than originally planned."
