X Factor's peppy girl group announce new name
X Factor girl group Rhythmix have announced their new name after being forced to undergo a mid-series name change.
The foursome - made up of Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall - were forced to change their moniker earlier in the week after learning it was already trademarked to a children's music charity.
In an earlier statement, an X Factor spokesperson said: "At the request of the charity Rhythmix, the members of the girl group Rhythmix have decided to change their name, a decision which has the support of Syco and TalkbackTHAMES."
The group revealed their new name on Twitter today, saying: "We're really excited to announce that as of now our new name is Little Mix! We came up with this name with Tulisa, and we love it-hope our Little Mixers like it too!"
Little Mix will perform under their new name on Saturday's X Factor live show, as they compete once again to stay on the series.
