Kelly Clarkson pens song for One Direction's album
Kelly Clarkson has a written a track on One Direction's debut album Up All Night.The American Idol winner penned the song Tell Me a Lie, which she describes as being "really cute".
Kelly revealed to Digital Spy: "I've got a song on One Direction's album called Tell Me a Lie. It's a really cute song - I love it. I loved that they liked it. They sound really great on it.
She added: "I already have it - I'm so VIP with my copy on my computer! It does sound really good."
The Mr. Know It All singer has also confirmed that she will be performing on the US X Factor later in the series, following her appearance on the UK version last month.
When asked what advice she would give to this year's hopefuls, Kelly said: "To anybody getting in the industry, regardless of it being on a show like that, the point is to be different and bring something different to the table. We already have the thing that some people are aiming to be. They'll be like, 'Adele's big right now', so someone will come in and try and rip off Adele.
"It's like, 'We already have Adele. We don't need you'. It's key to find something that's different about you and will really want to make people buy your stuff."
