Michael Jackson's daughter opens up about acting, school, her dad and those masks
She's just landed her first movie acting role in a film based on the children's book Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys and Paris Jackson gave a rare interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.
She tells Ellen about her passion for acting and reveals how her father, Michael Jackson, used to do improvisations with her and her siblings.
Paris first knew she wanted to be an actress when she was very small and watched her dad in the movie Moonwalker. She said: "My dad was in the movie Moonwalker and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn't know he could act." She added: "I saw that and I said, 'Wow, I want to be just like him.'"
Paris also talks about the lengths Michael went to to protect his children and how at the time she thought wearing a mask was stupid. As she got older she understood that he just wanted them to have a chance at a normal life and not be recognised. When she started school after her father's death in 2009, no-one recognised her. "I was like, 'Yes, I have a chance to be normal'", she said.
