Euro chart-topper sets sights on Blighty
If you've had a heavy weekend then what better than some piano-pop to ease you into a new week? Our VIP track this week is courtesy of Marlon Roudette, and what a track it is. New Age has been No 1 in three countries and spent eight weeks at the top of the Germany's official singles chart.
Marlon is a London-born, Caribbean-bred singer. He used to be in the band Mattafix but recently went solo, and it looks like things are working out quite nicely for him.
New Age is released on 27 February, and taken from his debut solo album Matter Fixed, which is released in March this year. If you just can't wait until then, check out Marlon's EP Riding Home. With the singer's mix of pop and reggae, summer doesn't feel so far away...
We've posted the video for the track right here and we want to know what you think of it. Do you want to see more of Marlon Roudette in 2012? Should Ed Sheeran be worried? Let us know by posting your comments below.
