But what about Cheryl?
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am has confirmed details of his new solo album, and it sounds like he's not exactly going it alone. The new album #willpower has seen him collaborate with Nicole Scherzinger, Britney Spears, Busta Rhymes and Alicia Keys. Despite being her manager, friend and a huge advocate for the singer, will.i.am has made no mention of Cheryl Cole appearing on his album.
Talking to Capital FM, he said: "I have a song with Alicia Keys – me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy."
"We got a song with me, LMFAO and Eva Simons. A song with me and Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz. I got a whole other bunch of collaborations. I made this song with Nicole Scherzinger that you would never expect. It's classical music."
will.i.am also revealed the origins behind the album title: "#willpower is just a reminder to myself of staying constant with the dream – keeping the dream alive. It was all a dream when I was 15 years old – 20 years later I managed to take the dream from an idea to physicality. So #willpower is uplifiting songs, encouragement for those that need it."
The Black Eyed Peas frontman will be hoping his solo effort will do better than last time now that the band is on hiatus. His last album, Songs for Girls, charted at No 68 in the UK.
