A robotic heartthrob is born
Parental warning: the video below features some strong language and imagery that may not be suitable for children.
The latest singer to team up with French producer and DJ, David Guetta, is Nicki Minaj. Known primarily for her rapping talents, Turn Me On showcases her amazing singing voice, which melds perfectly with David's signature house sound.
The video sees the creation of manequin-type robots with Guetta playing the creator and Nicki, who has opted for a long pink wig this time complete with black top hat, menacingly dragging an axe around. The girls in the office are enjoying the attention to detail, especially in the abs area of the male robot. However, all in all the fixed stares and lifeless faces are just slightly a bit creepy in this dimly-lit and strange world.
David has previously praised Nicki's singing voice, saying "She's the No 1 female rapper. But she can also sing, which adds something different. These are all the things that attracted me to her.
"I wanted to take her somewhere unexpected musically. I think the work we have done shows the full capacity of her as a singer. I'm in love with her voice! I'm looking forward to working with her more in the future."
We have to agree, Nicki certainly packs a punch with her vocals and already we're looking forward to hearing more from the duo.
Turn Me On is the fifth single to be released from David's fifth studio album, Nothing but the Beat and will also be featured on Nicki's forthcoming album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The single is out now.
