Queen of Pop won't be on her own though...
With someone known for being something of an ice queen, it's hard to think that the woman with arms of steel could ever get the jitters. It seems Madonna is human after all though.
Madonna has confessed to Tonight Show host Jay Leno that performing for millions of television viewers is understandably giving her butterflies. There is expected to be 100 million people viewing in the US, with a potential one billion people tuning in worldwide.
"It's the most nerve-racking thing I've ever done," the popstar declared. "The Super Bowl is like the Holy of Holies of America… And I have to go on in the middle of that 'Holy of Holies' and put on the greatest show that was ever put on."
Leno also asked Madonna on whether there had been any restrictions placed on her Super Bowl performance.
"Well, for sure no nipples," Madonna joked, adding: "But I wasn't gonna go there. I mean, I don't like to repeat myself."
Madge has already revealed a few teasers of what we can expect from the show, but we're still expecting quite a few surprises. At least she can take comfort in knowing she's not the popstar there on the night. Nicki Minaj and M.I.A will be joining her, and Kelly Clarkson will be opening the Super Bowl with a performance of the US National Anthem. Last year Christina Aguilera fluffed the lyrics so we can imagine Kelly is feeling nervous too!
Not long to go now, ladies...
