Parent's restaurant is "close to the edge of collapse"
Lady Gaga's parents have opened a restaurant and the first review is enough to put you off your dinner.
The singer may be on the Edge of Glory but the restaurant has been described as being "close to the edge of collapse."
The restaurant Joanne Trattoria opened its doors on Wednesday. It seems opening night didn't go so well, according to New York Post food critic Steve Cuzzo.
Failing to like any of the meals he ordered, Cuzzo wrote: "last night was running mainly on acrid-smelling burnt vinegar wafting intermittently through the raucous dining room."
"Clueless busboys wandered the floor, performing no other function than to pour tap water into sparkling," he added. "Grilled calamari with bitter greens and radicchio were the worst I’ve had in a lifetime of squid-mongering, the salad unseasoned and the calamari like leather. Unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco was $38."
Lady Gaga has spoken of her love of food, cooking in the Telephone video and even opted to wear her beef carpaccio to the an awards ceremony.
The critic noted Gaga wasn't on the menu though. The singer was a no-show. Is she busy preparing for her new tour, or does she just know her folk's cooking all too well?
