Heiress is working with rapper on new album
Paris Hilton revealed she recorded three tracks with Flo Rida.
Currently in the studio creating the follow-up to her 2006 debut, Paris tweeted yesterday: "#YES! Just finished recording 3 songs in one night! Working hard & feeling proud! So happy & excited with how everything is turning out! :D"
She later tweeted to Flo Rida: "What up! #YES! So much fun the other night, I love our new songs! Killed it! #YES!" Flo Rida has also posted pictures of the two of them in the studio together.
Flo Rida may not be the only rapper on the album. Paris told the New York Post that she is also recording with Snoop Dogg: “I’m doing my new album, and Afrojack is actually executive-producing the entire thing. There are a lot of very cool collaborations on my album. It should be out in the next few months. We just finished doing my single with LMFAO, then I’m recording with Snoop Dogg.”
The star of The World According to Paris also defended her decision to pursue a music career. Speaking at the Golden Globes after-party recently, she said:
"I think a lot of people don't know that music is my passion since I was a little girl. I'm very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance. ... The single's done; it's in the can. That's probably going to be out [within] the next month or two."
Paris told FHM she had "a huge passion for house music. It always has been my passion. I just haven’t been able to focus on it, because I have been doing reality TV for so long now.”
She adds: “I’ve been working on the album with lots of other top DJs for a while now and I think people will be really surprised. It’s very modern and very catchy; perfect party music.”
Paris first made her foray into music with the single Stars Are Blind. It went to No 5 in the UK and No 6 in the US. Second single Nothing in This World, however, failed to make the Top 50 on either side of the Atlantic.
