Band is "desperate" to be on the show too
It seems The Wanted's decision to tour the US has paid off with not only sold-out gigs and an appearance on Ellen Degeneres, but also having one of their singles chosen to be sung on Glee.
Artists have been eager to be featured on Glee's soundtrack for its exposure and sales.
The Wanted's Jay McGuiness has spoken to Capital FM and said the band can't believe how lucky they have been: "We've been working with Justin Bieber's management and they actually put it forward and sort of left Glee to research us and then they saw us on the Ellen DeGeneres show and said 'that was pretty good'."Then they looked at a lot of our online stuff and apparently their producers and everyone are just fans. I can't get my head around it – but I'm very grateful."
When asked if they wanted to take part in the episode that will include their song, he added: "Yeah, we're going to try our very best. We are desperate to be on there."
