He wants a 'Super Final' featuring all three TV talent shows
Simon Cowell is always on the lookout for the next project, and this time he has his sights on his rival shows in the US. The music mogal has challenged his two major competitors to a 'super final' along with the US X Factor, even though he claims it's "just a thought". It'll be a showdown of the TV talent shows.
He took to Twitter to test the idea with fans, saying: "Maybe the winner of @TheXFactorUSA this yr should compete with winner of The Voice & Idol in a super final. Just a thought. I'd be up for it". Fans responded by re-tweeting the post to friends and complimenting Simon on his idea calling it #PureGenius and suggesting he use all the judges from all the shows.
This would mean Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson from American Idol, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton from The Voice and LA Reid, Cowell and whoever else he decides to give the two remaining judges' seats to from The X Factor USA, all fighting it out in the same studio. With all those music heavy weights and egos, it would certainly make for good TV.
One thing we do know for sure, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger won't be there, since they were axed from The X Factor USA - along with host Steve Jones - earlier this year.
