Cheryl Cole has tweeted her congratulations to One Direction, whilst taking a dig at Simon Cowell at the same time
One Direction made history this week, debuting at No 1 on the Billboard Chart in America, and Cheryl has tweeted the boys to publicly say congratulations.
The singer and former X Factor judge also took the opportunity, however, to insult her old boss Simon Cowell.
She wrote: "Remember who really mentored you when @simoncowell wasn't there LMAO!! #proudofyouboys."
Cheryl actually mentored the girls category on the 2010 series of The X Factor, but seems to think she played a big role in coaching One Direction, more so than their supposed mentor Cowell.
Cheryl and Simon haven't been on the best of terms ever since he unexpectedly sacked her from the US version of the show.
Simon has already tweeted his congratulations: "I couldn’t be happier for @onedirection, it is an incredible achievement. They deserve it. They have the best fans in the world."
One Direction have not yet replied to Cheryl's message, but they have been online tweeting some other stuff. Are they choosing to ignore her dig at their boss?
