The star feels pressure to look fabulous

Lady Gaga revealed she's worried about meeting the "mean girls" of her past.

The singer is throwing an engagement party for her friend, but is concerned about some of the "horrible" girls she will meet from her high school.

Speaking to Stylist magazine, she explained: "I am throwing my best friend an engagement party this weekend and I'm going to be seeing all these girls from high school and I would be totally lying to you if I didn't say I was worried about how I'm going to look!"

The Poker Face singer is known for her outlandish style, but joked that she would have to put her best foot forward at the upcoming bash.

She explained: "I was saying earlier, 'I have to look fabulous, I have to look absolutely amazing, some of them were horrible to me!'"

Gaga recently courted press attention for ditching her blonde locks for more relaxed brunette style. The popstar also came under scrutiny for sporting a fuller figure after gaining what is thought to be around 25lbs from eating pizza and pasta.

Speaking about the way women put pressure on each other to look good, the star added: "I think women are just, for no reason, wretched to each other all the time, and I don’t think they use clothes or men or perfume or make-up or anything more than they use anything else.

"We should all make an effort to be nice to one another all the time."

Well said, Gaga. Let's just hope her party goes off without a hitch.
