Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP will be a multimedia project
Lady Gaga is offering a free app for her forthcoming album ARTPOP.
The Paparazzi singer has been heavily promoting her next record, set for release this fall.
Gaga revealed via Twitter on Wednesday she’s releasing an app for Android and iOS devices that will support the album.
"The ARTPOP app is Free, available in App Stores on your device, you can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded.
"Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free app separately at the app store,” she wrote.
The app will be available worldwide. It is part of an interactive multimedia project which will allow listeners to talk to each other about the music, she said.
"The APP is in essence, an interactive jewel case,” Gaga continued.
ARTPOP will be available November 11. It is the singer’s first album since 2011's Born This Way.
The star announced earlier this week her first single from the record, entitled Applause, will be available August 19.
The album and app will be available for pre-order the same day.
