New Age singer talks about the creative process on new track Didn't I

Marlon Roudette's making waves in Europe with his sweet voice and laid back tunes. Now the British-Caribbean star hopes to create a stir in the UK with his unique brand of soul.

Once a member of the band Mattafix, Roudette decided to go it alone with the cleverly entitled album Matter Fixed. Since then, his solo single New Age has hit number one in three countries and spent a whopping eight week's at the top of the German singles chart.

No doubt with this track he's hoping for as much success at home as he has had away.

In this vid he talks about the creation of his track Didn't I, describing his vision for the song as "Caribbean Paul Simon". Just in case you don't know who Paul Simon is, think chilled pop with ethnic beats.

If there's any doubt to Roudette's raw talent and passion for music, just watch him sing halfway though this clip. Swoon.

Matter Fixed by Marlon Roudette is available to buy now.
