X Factor boss 'dumped Mezhgan Hussainy for being needy'
Simon Cowell dumped Mezhgan Hussainy because she was 'too needy' according to his friend Zeta Graff.
Divorcee Zeta Graff - who joined the X Factor boss aboard his £30million yacht in St. Barts in the Caribbean last month - claims Simon cooled things off with the make-up artist because he still wants to be single.
She said: "Mezhgan was lovely but it was all too much for Simon.
"As soon as he hears the words "stability" and "future", I think it all became a bit too much.
"She was too needy, but he did try. Simon needs a woman who isn't defined by him, who has her own career or wealth.
"Someone who doesn't depend on him. But he and Mezhgan are still friends."
But the 42-year-old multi-millionairess - who divorced jewellery heir Francois Graff in 2003 after nine years of marriage - insists her holiday with Simon, 52, was purely platonic.
Zeta told the Daily Mirror: "It was an amazing holiday, we had so much fun.
"There was a photo taken of us in which my hair was falling over his face. It looked like we were kissing when we weren't.
"Simon found it hilarious the next day when everyone was saying I was his new girlfriend.
"Simon gets offers from women everywhere he goes - but he doesn't act on it.
"He might flirt with me but that's Simon. We're definitely just friends. There is no one serious in his life at the moment."
Although they may not be an item, Zeta has nothing but praise for the music mogul and his quirky ways. She added: "A lot of people don't get Simon. What they don't realise is that he gets it all 100 per cent and he knows exactly what he is doing.
"He is such a kind, wonderful, generous and funny man ... one of the coolest men on the planet, and a brilliant friend."
