'Babe excited to make "a fresh start"

First the Sugababes' new album falls off the radar. Then Amelle hits the studio alone. Now it appears Heidi is considering going solo.

Heidi Range has revealed she is considering a number of career options after Dancing On Ice gave her her confidence back, following the split with fiance Dave Berry last year.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Range confessed the break-up was "awful"  but that Dancing On Ice "got me through it. It’s given me a new lease of life."

"My life's been turned upside down and I don't know what is going to happen. I'm thinking about a solo album, I'm thinking about TV presenting, I'm thinking the world is my oyster right now. For 10 years every part of my life has been planned. It's been in the diary. It's exciting to be making a fresh start."

Heidi, who joined the band after original member Siobhan departed, recently spoke of the current Sugababes situation at a press conference: "We haven't got any plans at the moment, but we haven't split up as a band. We're just kind of doing our own little thing at the moment, so we'll see in the future."

Amelle has already indicated that she is going to release a solo single called Rebel. Repeatedly using it as a hashtag on Twitter, the singer has said an official announcement is on it's way.

So, will Heidi follow that now well-trodden 'Babes path of Siobhan, Mutya and Keisha with a solo record? We'd love to know how that might sound!
