Jingle Bell Ball at the O2

It's not often you get a pop princess, America's biggest hip-hop group and not one, but two of Britain's favourite boy bands under the same roof, but they all gathered at the 02 in London this weekend for the Jingle Bell Ball.

Over two nights, acts took to the stage to sing, strut, rap and dance to over 20,000 people all keen to get in the Christmas spirit.

Among the high-profile stars were Black Eyed Peas, kicking off Saturday night full of electro energy. Quick on their heels were The Wanted, The Script and Jason Derulo, while Nicole Scherzinger and Alexandra Burkewere keen to show the boys how its done.

If there was anyone in the Christmas spirit, it was Cee-Lo Green. Despite having been stranded in the snow the night before, the Forget You singer jumped on a private jet like only celebrities know how and arrived at the arena in a particularly festive knitted jumper. Who are we to argue?

Other hip-hop highlights of the night came from Akon and Flo Rida, the latter throwing fans his sweaty towel as a slightly dubious early Christmas present while showing off some pretty impressive tattoos. He also took to the stage with The Saturdays for their latest single Higher. Hot off their win for 4Music Video Honours Best Video of 2010, the McFly boys were also keen for a bit of company with Taio Cruz and his shades for a performance of Shine a Light.

However, if there was one act who truly defines pop, its gotta be Kylie. Opening Sunday's show in a trademark glam frock, the singer couldnt resist singing Cant Get You Out Of My Head with some half-naked dancers. All in a day's work, eh Kylie?

As the Ball drew to an end with Tinie Tempah delivering the grand finale, joined by Kelly Rowland on a projection screen, it was clear the popstars brought some serious Christmas sparkle to chilly London and got the festive season truly under way.
