Burkey Baby chips and gravy has confirmed that her next single release is to be a refreshed version of The Silence from her album Overcome.
Breaking out those rib-busting bellows that she calls lungs, this next release from Burkey Babes is a wonderfully, warbling ballad which the singer is said to be very pleased and excited about.
Resurrecting the power ballad sound, The Silence is ultimately ALLLLL about Burkey's voice. Deep, sultry, breathy tones throughout the verses are juxtaposed against strong, sustained notes in the chorus which pack enough punch to knock a sturdy rhinoceros on one side.
The track does have a tinge of the nostalgic about it, sounding a little like Must Have Been Love by 80s pop duo Roxette. However, this will undoubtedly appeal to mopey singletons who, on those lonesome Saturday nights in, do enjoy wailing - wine glass and Haagen-Dazs in hand a la Bridget Jones - to a collection of power ballads to which, The Silence would be a welcome addition to their repertoire.
Due for release on 6th December, The Silence will be a nice change of pace from Lecky B, giving her the chance to really show off that fabulous voice of hers and sending tingles all down our spines just in time for Crimbo.
