Born and raised in Hawaii, and after spending his formative years making his name as a pint-sized Elvis impersonator, Peter Gene Hernandez wisely ditched his rather un-popstarry name to become Bruno Mars, seller of more than 6 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide.

He’s got Grammys, he’s got Brits, he’s written for Cee-Lo Green, Flo Rida and Adam Levine, he’s had 3 UK number one singles and two number one albums, and he likes eating tuna and cucumber sandwiches on Tuesdays, but he still found time to hang out with us and give us the lowdown on his music career to date.
